In another study, IA tramadol, 1.5 mg/kg, resulted in pain relief comparable to that with IA fentanyl, 1.5 µg/kg. 110 It has been reported that 50 mg IA tramadol provides analgesia equivalent to that with 5 mg IA morphine. 111 The combination of IA tramadol plus periarticular bupivacaine has also been shown to give better.
Of greater importance is that nalbuphine provided substantial analgesia after reversal of the opioid-induced respiratory depression, which extended well into the postoperative period. These differential µ- (opioid antagonism) and κ- (agonist analgesia) receptor actions of nalbuphine may be of value in preventing the adverse cardiovascular stimulation observed in some patients suffering from surgical pain when naloxone is administered to reverse opioid-induced CNS depression; unfortunay, however, naloxone also acts to reverse the analgesia produced by the opioid.
Alternative to tramadol. Posted 3 years ago. Hello. New here, hope someone has some insight. Apologies for the long post, trying to anticipate questions. have had moderate-severe (it comes and goes) back and neck pain for years. I've never had any scans or x-rays as they say it's just strain/wear or something about my c3.
"Next higher" pain reliever would be in this order:
Thanks very much for the well crafted response.

Morphine is much stronger than tramadol. Everyone reacts differently to drugs as well, so you won't react the same way to morphine as someone else, and they wont react the same way to tramadol as you do. Using an online opiod converter, 300 mg of tramadol is the equivalent of 60mg morphine.
