How long does Shingles last? The Shingles infection is caused by the reactivation of the dormant Varicella Zoster virus in an individual's body due to some external or some internal stimulus . It would also depend on whether it was an immediate allergic reaction or one that developed over time. Pledge is right. It should probably fade fairly quickly if it was a first time use reaction.
