In order to assess a possible synergistic antinociceptive interactions, the antinociceptive effects of ketorolac tromethamine, p.o., a nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID), and tramadol hydrochloride, p.o., an atypical opioid analgesic, administered either separay or in combination, were determined.

The surface of synergistic interaction was calculated from the total antinociceptive effect produced by the combination after subtraction of the antinociceptive effect produced by each individual drug. Ten combinations exhibited various degrees of potentiation of antinociceptive effects (17.78 mg/kg tramadol with either 0.18, 0.32, or 0.56 mg/kg ketorolac; 10.0 mg/kg tramadol with either 0.18, 0.32, 0.56, or 1.8 mg/kg ketorolac; 5.6 mg/kg tramadol with either 0.32 or 0.56 mg/kg ketorolac; and 3.16 mg/kg tramadol with 0.32 mg/kg ketorolac), whereas the other 14 combinations showed additive antinociceptive effects.

Objective. To know the morbidity and death of patients with surgical pulmonary valve replacement. Introduction.

The purpose of this study is to evaluate the security and efficacy of Ketorolac/Tramadol drops by oral route as a treatment of nociceptive pain in 160 pediatric patients (16-year-old or younger). Discussion. The results showed that the tramadol/ketorolac combination is secure and effective in the treatment of postsurgical, oncologic and burning pain in children. Methods. To know the morbidity and death of patients with surgical pulmonary valve replacement. Objective. In addition, a good safety profile was observed since only 8 mild adverse reactions were registered. This is phase III, prospective, randomized, and not comparative clinical trial to evaluate the Ketorolac/Tramadol drops combination orally each 12 hours, during 3 days. That tendency continued during the third visit, the reduction of pain on postsurgical, burned and oncologic patients was of 63.21, 60.53 and 80.67% respectively, with regard to second visit. Introduction. The pain was evaluated in 3 occasions by the clinical scale of pain, the faces scale and the monitoring of: cardiac rate, respiratory frequency, O 2 saturation, and observing signs as crying, anxiety and sweating. Results. A significant reduction of pain was observed on the second visit, the postsurgical, burned and oncologic patients showed a decrease on pain of 49.48, 61.41 and 51.75% respectively.
