Dr Phil, I am not satisfied yet with your answer. Please elaborate more. I need to know If I substitute one 50mg tablet (tramadol) for one 7.5 mg Hydrocodone tablet will that usually be o k ? Obviously, I want to get off the Hydrodone and get something that is not addictive. How do I accomplish this? Also, is.

Dr. V gave me 50 mg Tramadol to take 1 tablet every 4 hours but it didn't seem to help. I take 5/325 6x. Since all this is, is 5mg oxy w/tylenol I dropped my reg 5mg IR oxy because the norco is also IR according to my pm. I hope you find a good balance to help you with Norco is hydrocodone w/tylenol.

Just got a script of 50mg tramadol/Ultram how many could i take to equal a hydrocodone buzz. Tramadol is such an odd opioid, I wouldn't even compare a dose to hydrocodone. Certainly do not take more than 400 mg in a single day, and I would really keep any single dose to no more.

I've noticed that many of the post operative patients are prescribed Tramadol for pain. 5/325, 1-2 ever 4-6 hrs, tramadol 1 every 8 hrs, extra strength Tylenol 1 every 6 hrs for the first 2 weeks, hydrocodone/acetaminophen 5/325 mg 1-2 every 4-6. So all I can do is take the 50 mg with 2 tylenol twice a day.

Norco (hydrocodone / acetaminophen) is a good option to treat pain when over-the-counter medicines haven't worked, but it can lead to dependence and tolerance if taken for a long time. Ultram (tramadol) works well for pain. Although it's a little weaker than other opioids, it can still be addictive.
